Exceptional Tanzanite Crystal With Pronounced Trichroism.

We thought you would enjoy this fantastic tanzanite crystal, clearly showing blue, violet and burgundy in a perfect example of trichroism (a gemstones ability to show three colors at once) . Mineral: Zoisite (var. Tanzanite)

Description: Named “Rachel” by the mim. Lustrous, very transparent single crystal, with very few inclusions over more than 3/4 the height, and very marked trichroism. Some graphite is attached at the base, which is characteristic of the Merelani mining area.

Locality: Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
